Conservation International, an international non-governmental organization, is seeking applicants for the following position to be based in Kasonaweja, Mamberamo Raya Regency Papua:
MAMBERAMO SENIOR COORDINATOR
Mamberamo Senior Coordinator will be a part of the implementation of The USAID-IFACS Mamberamo Project. The objective of the Project is to developing alternatives and recommendations, exploring low emission development strategies in Regency economic development, and integrating climate change adaptation and mitigation principles and the low emission development strategies that support traditional communities into Regency spatial planning. The project will develop needed capacities in Regency spatial planning and participatory methods, in geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial analysis, and in understanding the fundamentals of sustainable landscapes through a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA).
1.Manage Kasonaweja Site Office and staff;coordinate day to day implementation of project activities in coordination with CII staff and Consultant.
2.Provide leadership to ensuring that all field team members understand their roles, the activities, and the expected deliverables and outcomes.
3.Provide technical direction to field team members while encouraging creativity of the team in ways to achieve the activities target. Facilitate regular communication with project field team to ensure activities stay on track to achieving the program objectives in coordination with Mamberamo Program Manager
4.Leading and coordinate regular update field reports (such as weekly bullets, monthly updates, quarterly/annual reports, and success stories).
5.Responsible for developing and maintaining positive and productive working relations with the government counterparts and stakeholders mainly at regency and province levels.
Degree in forestry, economy, agriculture or other related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experienced in project management in a rural development context. The ideal candidate will be personable, creative, team-oriented and highly motivated. Good written and oral communication skills in Indonesia and English is advantage.
Experienced and has abroad knowledge of social conditions, culture and the environment in Mamberamo.
Experience in capacity building, colaborative land use planning, and policy development.
Experience in planning, organizing and project implementation.
Networking ability and facilitation skills.
Computer skills and experience in relevant software.
Strong interest in environmental issues and eagerness to expand knowledge
